It was right after the Jan.7th win at a sold out Capitol One Arena in Washington D.C. against Hector Luis "El Androide" Garcia that fight fans were reassured that 5-time world champion super star Gervonta "Tank" Davis would fight Ryan Garcia April 15th at a place to be determined in Las Vegas, Nevada. But the hoopla started in November when a Garcia publicist blasted a press release to boxing media affirming in the headline "ITS ON!" Garcia to finally face Davis in a 136 pound catch weight in Vegas. Since then both fighters took dates to fight other rivals to face each other as tune up bouts until their Super Star match up would take place in April even though Ryan Garcia cancelled his scheduled warm up match saying it was not necessary as he trained hard and focused solely on the "Tank fight as for Davis well you know how it ended at the DMV area back in January.. No doubt about it this is one of the biggest fights boxing has to offer but the fact of the matter is that both sides are no where closer to the reality of this mega fight happening than had previously been announced, Oscar DeLahoya and Golden Boy Promotions have affirmed in occasions that deals have been done and contracts signed but the truth of the matter is that after speaking with sources directly involved on both sides their are still some hiccups to be dealt with and this fight is not yet set in stone nor really signed.

STAY TUNED!
